-KNOWN WITH CATS: Poppy has not yet met a cat as she's been so busy caring for her babies.
-KNOWN WITH KIDS: Poppy has not yet been around children.
-KNOWN CUES: She is learning to ring a bell to go outside!
-KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Poppy is making great progress with house-training
-KNOWN LIKES: soft stuffy toys, cuddling with her humans
-KNOWN DISLIKES: being left alone for extended periods of time.
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Poppy came to us very pregnant and very frightened, but quickly fell in love with her foster family and gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies in their care, which she has raised with diligence!
Notes from the foster: Poppy is a beautiful young mother who is ready to get back to being a kid. She is the sweetest gal and loves to both play and snuggle up! She also loves her soft toys and makes collections of them!
When Poppy came to us, she was very pregnant and scared, but after three days a little light went off in her head: I love being loved! She has been inseparable since then! Would you like this love?
She would do great in a house where someone is around most of the time. She has done great around our other dogs, aside from the guarding of her pups, which should dissipate soon.
Poppy is still working on learning house training, but will often let you know when she needs to go out and even started using the bell on the door. Good progress! She has learned table manners and will lay down quietly for family meals.
Poppy has been accused of husband stealing! She would love a family to love and call her own! Is this the beagle love you are looking for?
