Notes from the foster:

I'd like to introduce you to Cocoa, a truly devoted mom of three who has shown remarkable dedication to her little ones. She takes immense joy in playing, caring for, and responding to her babies' every need with lightning speed, showcasing her incredible maternal instincts. As a gentle soul with a heart of gold, Cocoa adores surrounding herself with toys, enthusiastically chasing after them and playfully engaging with each one. Though she may be a tad shy and submissive, her loving nature shines brightly. After cuddling up with the family for some TV time, Cocoa comfortably retreats to her crate, demonstrating her house training skills, and if needed, she wisely uses pee pads or newspapers.

Cocoa does not like being alone much and would do well with antoher dog in the house so she is not alone when her people are not home.

She walks well on leash but will bark at other dogs and her foster is working on that with her.

When Cocoa first arrived at Homeward Trails after her delivery she was significantly underweight, but under our care, she has blossomed, gaining weight, strength, and vitality over the past three weeks. Cocoa gets along wonderfully with children and dogs, though her compatibility with cats is unknown at thsi time.
