ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Mikayla

ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts!

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 15 pounds.

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Kenzie is building her confidence playing with other dogs her size at Homeward Trails.

KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how Kenzie is with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information!

KNOWN WITH KIDS: We do not know how Kenzie is with kids, she will probably do fine with respectful kids.

KNOWN CUES: Kenzie would love your help building her confidence and skills.

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Kenzie's crate is her safe space where she feels comfortable and confident. She likes when her friends hang out with her by her crate and offer her yummy high-value treats.

KNOWN LIKES: People who go at her speed, high-value treats like cheese and hot dogs, plushy toys. She is a fruit and veggie PRO

KNOWN DISLIKES: People who move too quickly, being forced into novel experiences and people.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Kenzie has been doing AMAZING in foster. She plays, enjoys pets, and goes on walks no problem. She's currently being fostered in an urban environment and can now go on short walks. She loves her foster sibling, and will definitely enjoy a home with another confident doggy sibling. She is a fruit and veggie connoisseur, and enjoys fancy salads. Overall she's an awesome pup! She loves to run around and play with her foster parents, she's a spunky pup!

Kenzie came from a rural partner shelter in Tazewell County, where she was surrendered with nine other dogs. She is a beautiful and shy little flower who's looking for someone who can help her blossom.

Kenzie is still getting used to the hustle and bustle of our busy suburban environment, and she would love a family who can give her the time and space to feel comfortable with her new situation. She may also bloom more with the help of a confident canine companion. Once Kenzie gets to know and trust you, you'll have a dedicated friend for life.

Kenzie was spayed during her time at Homeward Trails. She is also recovering from a surgery to remove a back dewclaw.
