ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts!

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 58 lbs.

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Good with other dogs. Red is super sweet and gets along great with other dogs. He's a very chill guy who enjoys the company of all other dogs.

KNOWN WITH CATS: Red loves cats and has done amazing with them. His current foster has a cat and they enjoy hanging out together, even laying on the same doggy bed. A side note, he's also awesome with chickens!

KNOWN WITH KIDS: Red is currently being fostered with a young child and has done amazing!

KNOWN COMMANDS: Knows sit, and come

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: He is house trained and does well in his crate.

KNOWN LIKES: Red loves EVERYTHING, people, dogs, cats, chickens, you name it! He's a fancy boy, his favorite food is cooked chicken.

KNOWN DISLIKES: Red is an amazing dog, and is currently settling in. He is working on his fear of the outdoors, but making AMAZING progress. He goes outside for short walks and enjoys sniffing around the neighborhood. UPDATE: He can now comfortably go outside and explore the backyard, and take walks around the neighborhood.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Red was found as a stray at first in rural VA. The family tried to help but just didn't have the financial means to do. They surrendered him to the rural shelter and noted he is great with other dogs, cats, chickens, and so on. Loves kids. Knows some commands and is great on a leash.

Red is an incredibly sweet and special dog, he will no doubt make a great fit for any family.
